Psalm for St.Paul/Minneapolis
Some of you may remember Jared Paul from his brilliant spoken word set during Sage Francis at Manifestation, but if you missed him then – here is your second chance.
Jared Paul is returning to the twin cities next Wednesday July 29th at 7th street entry with his band – Prayers for Atheists. Currently touring for their brand new Strange Famous Records release, Prayers for Atheists have teamed up with Substance to make the Minneapolis date of their tour an engaging evening of punk rock, hip hop and activist outreach.
Jared Paul has been involved with Strange Famous Records since its inception in 1996, working closely on many projects with the labels’ founder: independent hip-hop artist Sage Francis. Strange Famous has taken the music industry into their own hands by working with artists like Prayers for Atheists. Artists that refuse to strictly appeal to the conventions of their genre as they dare to speak their minds. This dynamic mix of music and activism is sure to shake the walls of the 7th St. Entry on Wednesday evening.
Opening the show will be The Gavels, a Minneapolis skate punk outfit featuring members of GENA, SofaKingdom and Merge Left.
Wednesday July 29th is sure to be an engaging night of politics, punk rock, and hip hop – along with activist organizations and speakers.
Get there early – this show will be brief and powerful.
